Some kitchen objects are very useful to us in the preparation of our recipes, but when it's time to shower, they don't appreciate the heat of the dishwasher, whether they are large or mini. 

• Wooden utensils should not be put in the dishwasher as they could crack or swell, not very practical for a cutting board... In addition, some particles could end up in your dish.
• Plastic boxes: If you bring your food to work, you probably use these plastic storage boxes, which are very practical. However, they are not dishwasher safe as they may warp or melt.
• Dishes with a non-stick coating: to preserve the properties of these dishes, avoid placing them in your appliance as the coating could be damaged. The same is true for cast iron utensils.
• Dishes too dirty: your mini appliance won't be able to work miracles every time. If your plate and cutlery are too dirty, wipe with a sponge to remove all food residue. This will prevent the pipes from becoming clogged.

WHERE TO INSTALL YOUR MINI DISHWASHER?

The height varies between 43 and 45 cm and the depth ranges from 53 to 56 cm. Some models are also suitable for 2 to 8 place settings.
• Capacity: it is between 2 and 8 covers. Ideally, models for 2 to 3 place settings will adapt to the needs of a single person, while mini dishwashers for 6 to 8 place settings will be more suitable for a couple or a small family.
• The noise level: this criterion is important, especially if you install your dishwasher in an open kitchen such as a studio. It is therefore imperative that your model does not emit more than 50 dB. Be aware that a simple difference of 3 dB between two models will be enough to make you perceive twice as much noise through your ear. Smaller models are noisier, however, because they do not have anti-vibration walls. Prefer to wash in your absence so as not to be disturbed. 
• Consumption: if the purchase of a dishwasher will already allow you to save water compared to washing by hand, you can go even further by favoring energy-efficient models, which will consume less electricity but also little water, with, for some, less than 10 liters used per cycle. This is the case for mini dishwashers with a consumption of 2 to 8 liters.
• Energy rating: to save energy, look at the energy rating of your appliance. The modalities have recently changed: the devices are now classified from A to G and no longer from A+++ to D.
• The options: small dishwasher does not mean basic model. This type of appliance also has various options depending on the makes and models. You can benefit from a delayed departure, an automatic opening of the door or the display of the remaining time. Most models have up to 6 programs to best adapt to the condition and dirt of the dishes.
